From the hotel this path leads through the old town of Kues directly to Birth house of Cusanus.
Nicholas Cusanus was born in Kues on the Moselle and is one of the greats in Western intellectual history. A large flag on the facade greets visitors to the house at Nikolausufer 49 on the Kues side of Bernkastel-Kues. The world-famous philosopher and mystic became here in 1401. From the Cusanus Gebutshaus you have the opportunity to walk along the promenade to Kues and across the bridge to Bernkastel-Kues. (approx. 30 min on foot)
